winter jobs

Overview

 

We train two Iditarod teams every winter, one to win, and a two-year-old team racing for experience. In addition, we have 40 yearlings and a bunch of puppies we are harness breaking and doing tours with. If you spend a winter here, you will learn every step to take a puppy to an Iditarod champion.

 

We provide a room and monthly stipend. Job descriptions include helping Mitch train the A team, running the puppy team in the Iditarod, and entry level handling jobs. All positions entail a lot of kennel chores, endless mushing opportunities, the more you want to mush the better, and occasionally racing opportunities DOE.
